About This Data
These satellite images are captured by NASA's Landsat 8 satellite, which provides a new image of every location on Earth every 16 days. The images show the Atlanta metropolitan area and surrounding regions in natural color.
Images are automatically downloaded from NASA's Planetary Earth API and stored securely for fast loading. Each image covers approximately 0.10 degrees of latitude and longitude, roughly equivalent to an 11km × 11km area.
